National Literacy and Numeracy Week launch images

Check out the images of NSW Senator the Hon Ursula Stephens launching cap that! at Toowong State School, Queensland, as a start to National Literacy and Numeracy Week 2011.

Senator Stephens spoke to teachers, students and media about the benefits of captions for all students and hearing impaired year 6 student Michael shared how captions have helped his learning. Alex Varley, CEO of Media Access Australia, the organisation behind cap that!, and major sponsor, Australian Communication Exchange, CEO Sandy Gilliland also spoke at the launch.
